Teams: 19 teams divided into two zones (A & B)

 

2021 Clausura* season: 8 August - 21 November

Season format:

In each zone they will play a round of all against all. The first four teams from each zone will qualify for the Final Phase.

The Final Phase will be played in an one-legged system and includes quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.

Copa Libertadores Qualification: 

The Apertura champion will play the "Superfinal" at the end of the year against the champion of the Clausura season. Both the teams will be classified to the next Copa Libertadores.

Relegation: At the moment there will be no relegation since the idea is to add more teams to the top category.

Promotion: From Primera División B

Current champions: San Lorenzo (2021 Apertura)
