ABOUT COPA LIBERTADORES FEMENINA

The 2024 Copa Libertadores Femenina is taking place in Paraguay from October 3 to 19, after an earlier plan to host it in Uruguay was changed. This will be Paraguay's third time hosting the tournament, having previously done so in 2017 and 2021.

The 16 participating teams come from 10 South American countries, each qualifying through their national leagues:

Each team qualified by winning or placing high in their domestic leagues, with Brazil being granted three spots due to its strong historical performance.

Matches will be held in four venues across Asunción, Luque, and Ypané:

1. Estadio Defensores del Chaco (Asunción) – Capacity: 42,354
2. Estadio Arsenio Erico (Asunción) – Capacity: 7,500
3. CONMEBOL Stadium (Luque) – Capacity: 4,000
4. CARFEM Stadium (Ypané) – Capacity: 2,000

Group stage matches are divided between Estadio Arsenio Erico and CARFEM Stadium, while knockout stage matches, including the final, will be hosted at Defensores del Chaco and CONMEBOL Stadium.

The tournament draw has placed the 16 teams into four groups, with matches scheduled across the different venues.

  • Group B: Olimpia, Colo-Colo, Club Always Ready, Santos

  • Group C: Ferroviária, Dragonas, Peñarol, Santa Fe

Each group will have a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the knockout rounds. The quarterfinals will be followed by semifinals, a third-place match, and the final, all of which will be held at Defensores del Chaco and CONMEBOL Stadium.
