ABOUT COSAFA WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

An international tournament for Southern African national teams organised by COSAFA (Council of Southern Africa Football Associations).

Nine of the fourteen COSAFA members take part in the competition. Three countries from the CECAFA (Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations) region enter as guests: South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The group stage is composed of three groups of four teams each. Group winners and the best runner-up amongst all groups advance to the semi-finals.
