ABOUT
The Supercopa de España Femenina (Spanish Women's Super Cup) is contested by the winners and runners-up from the previous Copa de la Reina (Spanish Women's Cup) and the highest ranked teams from previous season in the Liga F that had not already qualified through the cup final.
HISTORY
From 1997 to 2000, four editions of the cup were played between the winners of the Spanish league (Liga F) and the Copa de la Reina.. San Vicente CFF won the first edition, CA Málaga the second, Eibartarrak F. T . achieved the third edition and Levante UD won the last one. After several years without being played, in 2019 the competition was held again, now in a 'Final Four' format.
THE 2023 EDITION
The 2023 edition is held in Mérida (Extremadura). The venue for all matches will be the Estadio Romano José Fouto.
